Re: Anne Marie Denley

It is a true pleasure for me to write this reference letter for Anne Marie Denley. 

In March of this year, I was out of town when my 92 year old mother, who is a resident at an independent living facility, experienced a decline in both physical and cognitive ability.  I needed emergency support for her quickly.  As luck would have it, I had been given Anne Marie’s name and number by a friend, in case I needed support for my mom.  How luck was I!  I felt like I had been sent an angel. 

Anne Marie returned my initial call immediately, listened intently to my dilemma and immediately took action to ensure my mom received the help she needed.  Anne Marie arrived at my mom’s door within 2 hours of my initial call.  Upon arrival, she assessed the situation and set about making my mom comfortable, ensuring I was kept up to date.  At the time I called Anne Marie, my mom was unable to get out of bed; within an hour of Anne Marie arriving, she had my mom up, sitting at the table eating and she messaged me a photo of her.  What a relief!  Anne Marie provided well thought out and professional care to my mom with no provided direction.  Her understanding of her clients’ needs is exceptional, as is her positive and upbeat demeanor.

I had Anne Marie attend to my mom alternate days for the remaining two weeks of absence and in one other instance during that time, I, once again, had to call Anne Marie in an emergency situation on a day on which she was not scheduled to visit.  Once again, she rearranged her existing schedule to accommodate my mom’s needs, keeping me updated throughout.

I can honestly say, that without Anne Marie, my trip would have been cut short – in fact, I did comment on possibly returning home and Anne Marie encouraged me to continue my trip, as all was, in fact, under control.  She was right!

In conclusion, I would strongly recommend Anne Marie for a caregiver position. I believe that she is completely capable of providing exceptional care, both on a physical and emotional level while maintaining her client’s dignity.
